CSEAN calls for cyber intelligence to improve the nation’s security

The Cyber ​​Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) on Thursday called for cyber security intelligence to bolster the country’s security.

Mr. Olatunji Igbalajobi, Director of CSEAN, said at the 10th SECUREX Exhibition and Conference in Lagos that cyber intelligence would enable the country to understand the nature and capability of an attack.

According to Igbalajobi, this will allow security personnel to handle the full spectrum of threats and incident response.

“Cybersecurity intelligence includes information gathering, processing and analysis. to help action on incoming attacks.

“It is because Nigeria faces traditional and emerging threats to national issues that are real, significant and enduring.

“The way forward is awareness and training, a strong legislative framework, government commitment, among others.

“The national intelligence unit should help in the collection of information needed to improve the fight against insecurity,” he said.
