CSC Launches Yogyata App to Deliver Skills-Based Vocational Training to Rural Youth, Telecom News, ET Telecom

New Delhi: Common Service Centers (CSCs) have launched “Yogyata” mobile phone application to provide vocational education and skills enhancement opportunities to youth and citizens in rural areas. The Yogyata app will leverage CSC’s massive reach and penetration in the target group while providing the ability to access courses that add skills and educational qualifications to increase employability by offering courses like cybersecurity, CAD and 3D printing, according to a statement from CSC.

Dinesh Tyagi, Managing Director of CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd, said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has not only given impetus to e-learning as a viable model of education, but has made it a need. provide quality vocational training and skills to students and young people in rural areas.

“The Yogyata app will help provide industrial skills to young people in rural areas and thus prepare them for employment.”

The training content operates on a continuous learning mode and is based on an annual subscription.

Registrations under the application will be made by entrepreneurs at the village level, managing CSCs across India.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the whole world in all its aspects. But, rural youth are likely to suffer a disproportionate impact, as the International Labor Organization points out, rural youth are more likely to engage in casual work, almost 40% more than their urban counterparts.
