On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Uttarakhand Police app and e-FIR service. The police app is an integrated version of five online services provided by the state police.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said people will get better facilities through the app. He said it is a good effort made on the policy of simplification, solution and resolution of the government. It is also a laudable move to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s idea of smart policing, he said.
Director General of Police Ashok Kumar, all online services provided by the state police to the public have been integrated into the Uttarakhand Police app. These include Gaura Shakti, Traffic Eye, Audience Eye, Meri Yatra and Lakshya Nasha Mukt Uttarakhand. The emergency number 112 and the helpline number 1930 have also been connected to this application. He further informed that by using this application, citizens will be able to use the citizens web portal or their mobile phone lodge online report of vehicle theft or loss of documents while sitting at the home. The report must be completed in accordance with the description provided and the information provided by the public will be received by the cyber police station for registration as an e-FIR. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Special Principal Secretary Abhinav Kumar and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
